Ariell Guerra (b. 1994, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil) is a visual artist and muralist whose practice bridges painting, digital art, and collective urban interventions. Raised in the rural region of Seridó, her work is deeply rooted in the popular culture, landscapes, and biodiversity of northeastern Brazil.
Self-taught, Ariell explores creation as a dialogical process — one that expands through encounters with people and places. Her visual language combines vibrant colors and organic gestures with reflections on gender, belonging, and perception. The androgynous figures that inhabit her works emerge from memories of non-belonging in childhood, evolving into a celebration of diversity and feminine presence.
Her work has been exhibited in Brazil and abroad, including at Pinacoteca Potiguar, Museu Nacional da República, CRAB Sebrae, The Athena Foundation for the Arts (USA), and Musik-Mittelschule (Austria). Her paintings and murals are part of public and private collections and have been featured in collaborations with Santander, L’Occitane, Riachuelo, Unimed, Sebrae, Sesc, Senac, and Sesi, as well as in social and urban art initiatives.

“Me interessam as relações, gente com gente, gente com bicho, bicho com o ambiente. Pinto como forma de expressar essa admiração e de me aproximar do outro, de criar intimidade com esses encontros. Cresci no interior do Rio Grande do Norte, em contato com a terra e com o fazer manual, e isso marca o modo como olho e construo essas relações.
Meu trabalho acontece na pintura e no muralismo. Uso planos de cor para construir os corpos e organizar as relações entre eles: é a cor que define, delimita e une os elementos, criando interseções onde tudo está, ao mesmo tempo, conectado. Gosto de pintar estados de relação.
Essa investigação também tem me levado a experimentar deslocar o encontro para fora da imagem: em vez de só representá-lo, procuro abrir parte do processo de criação a ele. Nessas experiências, outras pessoas podem escolher, interferir e transformar os caminhos do trabalho. Busco espaço para a participação do outro, para o acaso e para aquilo que não consigo prever.”
